I was working on an open source graphics engine a while back. A few old screen shots of a feature i developed. It uses the standard quake 3 map loader with the engine and uses addition normal textures to show bump mapping and parallax map effects. http://profile.iiita.ac.in/alok_01/sshots/Diffuse.jpg shows simple diffused shading
http://profile.iiita.ac.in/alok_01/sshots/bump.jpg shows the bump map available with the engine
http://profile.iiita.ac.in/alok_01/sshots/parallax.jpg shows the parallax map effect. Since then I was working on a full-fledged effects framework for the engine. Its about 70% complete will post screen shots once as and when I finish it.
